🎮 My Game History

I started playing in June 2015 and am on 4 servers: US, EN, Italy, & Beta. I play under the same name in all servers: Jane Bingum the Just (with the spaces).

On the US server, I originally played in these worlds: A, G, H, N, Q, R, S, T, U, V, and Y. (Arvahall, Greifental, Houndsmoor, Noarsil, Qunrir, Rugnir, Sinerania, Tuulech, Uceria, Vingrid, and Yorkton). Yup, 11! And I played daily in all of them.

In August 2017, my wife (who played as XenaTheWarrior Princess) was diagnosed with a rare, chemo-resistant cancer called uterine leiomyosarcoma. The sicker she got, the less we played. After she died in January 2019 (complications from the cancer and egregious malpractice), I quit altogether. Too many memories. We played in several worlds and ran several guilds together. I tried to go back in July of that year, but just couldn’t do it.

I eventually had her account deleted, but I kept mine. I grew up with Age of Empires (which I still play on Steam), and thought that one day, maybe I would go back. That day was July 27, 2022.

In one of my worlds I discovered I’d been invited to a guild 2 weeks prior. I took it as a sign and started playing regularly again.

🌍 My Current Worlds

I did not keep all of my worlds. I donated all my goods to my guilds in several worlds, and recouping inventory felt exhausting. I requested deletion for Arvahall, Greifental, Houndsmoor, and Yorkton. I’ve since deleted more.

I kept Qunrir (my first world), Vingrid (where I found the surprise guild invite), Rugnir (guild still intact!), Sinerania (friends still playing), Tuulech, and Uceria. I deleted Noarsil and started/deleted a city in Carthage. In September 2022, a new world Dilmun opened, and I founded The Gathering there. It’s now one of my main cities.

In April 2024, I joined the EN server and play in Fel Dranghyr, Odhrorvar, and Vingrid.

World total: Beta: 1; EN: 3; IT: 1; US: 7 = 12 total.

Timing is everything! Most buildings come due every 24 hours. With a little planning, you can sync your collections across worlds and finish in minutes. When traveling, I set everything to 24-hour cycles for evening collection.

Special Events may shift things, but this method has worked for me for years.

🏰 My Guilds

I lead fair-trade guilds that participate in Guild Expedition (GE) and Guild Battlegrounds (GBG). QI is optional (because I don’t like it! GBG is not something I’m requiring at this time, due to all the stress and aggravation caused by GBG Trials. And boy, is it ever a trial!)

Guilds are open to active players (logging in 3–4 times per week) who follow our rules (explained in each guild’s profile in-game).

In Qunrir, my guild is TheGathering (no space). I never disbanded it, so our stats stayed intact. I renamed it from Gone With the Guild to be more respectful, and to be consistent across my US worlds.

In Dilmun, you can find us as The Gathering (with a space).

I’ll be staying in D World on the Beta server. It’s helpful to know what’s coming. I’m not currently sharing event previews, but maybe in the future. In Beta, I’m just in a testing guild with a friend from the US server.

I’m not super active in EN or IT, so I won’t list those guilds at this time.

🕊️ Remembering Xena

I don’t know how many of you remember Xena, but here is a copy of her obituary (names and locations changed for privacy). Most players know she died, but I want to share what happened. If it helps even one person avoid what we went through, it’s worth it.

I’ve since met someone else, but I will never stop loving Xena—or her mom. My new partner understands and is incredibly supportive. She gave me a sea turtle ornament for our first Christmas to honor Xena.
